Status: Full-time

Hours: 40 hours per week
7:45 AM- 6:15 PM Monday-Friday
8:45AM- 1:15PM Saturday

Reports to: Teller Supervisor

Description of Position:

Performs receipt/disbursal of funds for member transactions. Identify member needs
and presents and explains credit union products and services. High contact position
required to communicate and work effectively with prospective or current members as
well as fellow employees, while positively representing the credit union.

Qualifications:
     Education:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent required

     Experience:

  • Previous experience as a customer service representative
    required
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred

     Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a sincere desire to provide
    exceptional service
  • Ability to successfully cross-sell credit union products and
    services
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and
    Outlook

Job Duties:

1. Greets members. Provides general information to members about credit union
financial products and services. Assists members regarding problems and
inquires related to transactions on their accounts. When appropriate, may
direct members to other departments for assistance.

2. Operates on-line teller terminal and processes transactions directly related to
the receipt and disbursement of funds. Is responsible for accuracy of all
transactions.

3. Balances cash drawer and daily totals to data processing totals. Is responsible
for accuracy of all detail.

4. Orders daily cash from vault and verifies amount. Images checks for end of
night branch deposit.

5. Provides Visa cash advances, traveler's cheques, money orders, license plate
sticker services, and any other service or product offered by the credit union.
Completes data entry of miscellaneous receipts to cash journals.

6. Actively cross-sells credit union products and services and enthusiastically
participate in all marketing promotions.

7. Participates in appropriate training and receives necessary education to remain
knowledgeable in all service areas, as well as trains others and learns new tasks
which enable job rotation as required by ACU Internal Controls.

8. Scans member signature cards and documents.

9. Handles requests for Verification of Deposit information in a timely manner.

10. Mails out notices created by the data processing system (Romeoville)

11. Other duties as assigned.

Maintains accuracy, efficiency, and responsiveness. Demonstrates complete knowledge
of all credit union products and services. Completes all work requirements in a timely
manner. Performs basic business math and composes routine correspondence. Ensures
confidentiality of member information and professional delivery of quality service.
Demonstrates a professional appearance, a positive attitude and demeanor at all
